Inverse Problem for a Curved Quantum Guide

چکیده
In this paper, we consider the Dirichlet Laplacian operator on a curved quantum guide in Rn (n = 2, 3). If the reference curve is not straight but asymptotically straight, we prove that the data of one eigenfunction associated with its eigenvalue determines the curvature.

Emergent Continuum Spacetime from a Random, Discrete, Partial Order
There are several indications (from different approaches) that Spacetime at the Plank Scale could be discrete. One approach to Quantum Gravity that takes this most seriously is the Causal Sets Approach. In this approach spacetime is fundamentally a discrete, random, partially ordered set (where the partial order is the causal relation). In this contribution, we examine how timelike and spacelik...
متن کاملUniqueness for the electrostatic inverse boundary value problem with piecewise constant anisotropic conductivities
We discuss the inverse problem of determining the, possibly anisotropic, conductivity of a body Ω ⊂ Rn when the so-called Neumann-to-Dirichlet map is locally given on a non empty curved portion Σ of the boundary ∂Ω. We prove that anisotropic conductivities that are a-priori known to be piecewise constant matrices on a given partition of Ω with curved interfaces can be uniquely determined in the...
متن کاملInverse nodal problem for p-Laplacian with two potential functions
In this study, inverse nodal problem is solved for the p-Laplacian operator with two potential functions. We present some asymptotic formulas which have been proved in [17,18] for the eigenvalues, nodal points and nodal lengths, provided that a potential function is unknown. Then, using the nodal points we reconstruct the potential function and its derivatives. We also introduce a solution of i...
متن کاملOn the inverse maximum perfect matching problem under the bottleneck-type Hamming distance
Given an undirected network G(V,A,c) and a perfect matching M of G, the inverse maximum perfect matching problem consists of modifying minimally the elements of c so that M becomes a maximum perfect matching with respect to the modified vector. In this article, we consider the inverse problem when the modifications are measured by the weighted bottleneck-type Hamming distance. We propose an alg...
متن کاملThe use of inverse quadratic radial basis functions for the solution of an inverse heat problem
In this paper, a numerical procedure for an inverse problem of simultaneously determining an unknown coefficient in a semilinear parabolic equation subject to the specification of the solution at an internal point along with the usual initial boundary conditions is considered. The method consists of expanding the required approximate solution as the elements of the inverse quadrati...
